VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING – HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Gord Scarth joined Monteris Medical in 2015 as the Vice President of Engineering – Hardware and Software. Gord is responsible for development of the NeuroBlate® System including capital hardware and the development of the system software.
Prior to joining Monteris, Gord was Vice President of Research & Development at IMRIS, a company focused on image guided therapy solutions and surgical theatres. In this position he was responsible for development of an MR-compatible neuro-surgical robot, an integrated MR-angio system for neuro and cardiac procedures, an MR-compatible neuro-navigation system with automatic registration, and other imaging technologies. He has also worked in medical research in the areas of non-invasive neurological cancer detection/classification and functional imaging.
Gord holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
