Position Description (will be doing)
- Programming in IDL, C++ or other object oriented languages
- Using designing and problem solving skills to create ideas for products
- Taking ideas and converting them into concepts, prototypes and eventually viable and user friendly products
- Creating documents to formalize designs and test activities
- Be able to assist Software Manager in creating and implementing processes to streamline software development life cycle
- Be able to assist Software Manager in project management activities

Position Requirements (must have)
- Seasoned veteran software programmer
- Excellent programming skills
- Very good understanding of software development life cycles
- Designer and an innovator
- Experience in:
- image processing related software (DICOM, Open GL, 3D graphics); or,
- database management
- Experience in working within a regulated industry
- A team player who can think independently and be able to listen to others
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management skills

Other Assets (good to have)
- Knowledge of IDL
- Experience in working for a medical device firm
- Understanding of FDA and ISO requirements for software development and validation
- Exposure to risk analysis related activities as per ISO14971
